The main musical focus of the ten days is the symphony orchestra, conducted by Julian Gibbons. It is the place where everyone comes together regardless of ability, expertise or background. The rehearsals are divided between sectionals, main sectionals and full orchestra. The sectionals are taken by a multinational team of dedicated instrumental tutors (who also find time to give an inspiring concert). The young musicians are thus prepared for the performances of a varied and challenging international programme at the end of BISYOC.
This year we will need the following instruments for the Symphony Orchestra:
