Bedstone International Summer Youth Orchestra Camp
| In 2001, Julian Gibbons began a summer orchestral project at Bedstone College in Shropshire, called BISYOC. His purpose was to bring together young people with different musical goals and abilities and give them a chance to experience performing in a large Symphony orchestra. The primary goal is a cultural exchange: a broadening of horizons through the collective experience of Music. |

In 2002 the BISYOC musical programme was extended when a Jazz Workshop was added as a voluntary option alongside the successful Chamber Music sessions which had already enjoyed great success in 2001. In 2003 a second Workshop option, “Composing with Instruments” was added.
BISYOC was held in Salamanca, Spain in 2005 and in Oberschützen, Austria in 2006, since 2007 it has returned to Moor Park near Ludlow, England.
Young people from the following 14 countries have attended and made BISYOC a cultural and musical highlight: Germany, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Holland, Norway, Belorussia, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Spain and Czech Republic.
